Food is Fuel
I have the daytime weekday routine down. I am on target most, if not, all of the time. The afternoon snack can be a problem, but I am rock solid all the way until 3:00 PM.
Dinner and the weekends are a big problem. I went out to dinner four times, one business dinner, three social dinners. I drank Jack Daniels (the undisputed, pound for pound best whiskey ever). I ate pork, beef, and cheese (you know I love cheese). I did not eat cookies, pie, or cake (you also know by now that I love cake). And most important, no cheesecake (what could be better than the combination of cheese and cake? not much!).
The late snack is also all over the place. I try to eat a banana or some berries. And I do. But then after the banana or berries, I end up eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Or even worse the grilled ham and cheese with grilled onions and pepperoncinis. You should try one - the onions and pepperoncinis really push it to the next level. That is a really good sandwich. They are best on sourdough, but white bread will do.
Saturday and Sunday I have no structure. I don't get up at the same time, I don't go to the office. It's a free for all.
Bacon, sausage, ham, and hash browns - all the good stuff. Have you ever noticed that most breakfast meats are pork? Yes, I know there is steak and eggs. Oh, and there is corn beef hash, and chicken and a biscuit. Now that I think about it is only 50% pork, never mind.
I did not have any plans for the weekend. This left many random hours with no place to go. YES I could have gone to the gym, but I never made it. YES I could have walked Louie, but again that did not happen. Mostly TV, napping, and snacking was all that took place.
Exercise is King
This week no gym at all, and only one walk with Louie. I must stay motivated, and on task.
OK, no good news, I know you don't anticipate any. I weighed in at 231 pounds, up 1 pound. I was pissed off so I did not check my blood pressure this week.
This losing weight and getting healthy is a big pain in the ass. I want a pork roast with mashed potatoes, gravy and a big piece of cheesecake.
Send me a good recipe.
