Alex Rivlin, Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Alex is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of InsureMonkey, a company he co-founded in 2009 as a way to simplify and open access to health insurance for everyone. Alex is responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic direction, planning and implementation. His commitment to openness has led to the many strategic advantages of the InsureMonkey.com website. Alex has built his career in the insurance and services industries on a principled work ethic, a drive to help people and a commitment to do what is right. He previously opened a captive insurance agency in 2001 and built it into one of the top 2% of agencies nationwide from among more than 15,000. His success is a result of an unrelenting focus on customer service, deep understanding of marketing, and an ability to bring together top talent around a common purpose.
Alex developed a strong work ethic early when he started working as a 10-year-old boy and later as a full-time employee at age 13. His hard work paid off and at age 18 Alex started his own company in the automotive services industry, employing over 200 people in 5 locations.
Kurt Jarcik, Chief Operating Officer, Co-Founder
Kurt is Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of InsureMonkey. He manages the infrastructure needs of the company including technology, customer service and licensed agents, and operating facilities. His technical expertise with health insurance plans, long standing relationships with the nation’s top health insurance companies, and deep background in management have helped drive the foundational success of the company. His reputation with health insurers has made for a seamless partnership and allows InsureMonkey to offer the most comprehensive plans available nationwide.
Kurt has over 17 years in the insurance industry where he most recently served as a health insurance consultant for Dennis Financial Services, specializing in Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Partial Self-Insured Programs.
Kurt started his career in operations management with some of the world’s largest restaurant franchises.
Mark Jolley, Chief Marketing Officer, Co-Founder
As a co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, Mark is responsible for developing and overseeing the InsureMonkey brand, including customer engagement and acquisition, social architecture, and customer lifecycle. Mark has 15 year’s experience in public and private sector marketing and communications, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 gaming, technology and communications companies.
Prior to joining InsureMonkey, Mark served as president/GM of Las Vegas-based Mojo Communications, an advertising and marketing firm. While there, he managed the strategic development and marketing for clients in the financial, real estate and health care industries. Previously, Mark worked in leadership positions with Nevada-based advertising agencies managing customer acquisition for Cox Communication’s video and high-speed Internet assets, entertainment assets for the Las Vegas Hilton, and online assets for The Howard Hughes Corporation.
Mark started his career in politics as the political director for Nevada’s State Senate Majority Leader responsible for political and policy related activities. He holds a B.A. in Communications from UNLV.
