Software Engineer

We are seeking talented, motivated, creative software engineers to join our software group.  Our team is responsible for creating and maintaining the website, quote/apply engine, and whitelabel products for InsureMonkey.com and affiliates.  You will be involved in all aspects of the software portion of our business, including requirements gathering, documenting, unit testing, constructing, and maintaining our products.  A broad range of skills is required for members of our small, growing team.

Requirements include two or more years of experience in:

• Experience developing in object oriented languages, including any of Python, Java, PHP, C++, or C#.  Python experience is preferred.
• Web-based software development using modern frameworks.  Django experience is a plus.
• Working with a team of software developers using revision control systems.      
• Automated build and test frameworks.
• Browser-agnostic Javascript development.
• Developing maintainable, performance-ready code for persistence with relational databases.  MySQL experience is preferred.

Some experience engineering and supporting production LAMP server clusters is helpful.  Other technologies and partners include Google analytics, Docusign, Salesforce, JQuery, DHTML, SOAP, and a little .Net and Java.

Systems Administrator

InsureMonkey.com is seeking a Systems Administrator to help construct, maintain, and secure our rapidly growing network.  Candidates can expect to be responsible for both corporate office and datacenter services.  Professional experience is required in each of the following:

• Windows Server 2008
• Windows clients XP and 7
• Linux servers (Ubuntu)
